Courtesy visit from Mr. Ryosuke Kuwana, Consul General of Japan in São Paulo, and Kayo Yoshida, Vice-Consul, to Abe Advogados

The Consul General of Japan in São Paulo, Mr. Ryosuke Kuwana, and the Vice-Consul, Ms. Kayo Yoshida, paid a courtesy visit to Abe Advogados this Monday (27). They were welcomed by the partners of Abe Advogados, who presented the law firm and its initiatives in providing legal assistance to Japanese companies in Brazil.

Marcos Abe, Abe Advogados’ main partner, deeply thanked the Consul General and the Vice Consul for this visit and the entire Consulate General of Japan in São Paulo for their fundamental support in building beneficial and lasting relations between Brazil and Japan.

Kuwana Ryosuke has been Consul General of Japan in São Paulo since August 2020. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 1986 and has served in diplomatic representations in Bolivia, the United States, Chile, Geneva, and Mexico. He has extensive experience in matters of economic diplomacy, having worked on issues related to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Economic Partnership Agreements (EPA).

Kayo Yoshida studied economics at Sophia University and studied abroad in Bahia state in Brazil for about four and a half years from 2003 to 2008. She later worked at the Tokyo branch of Itaú Bank. She began her current at the Consulate General of Japan in São Paulo in July 2021.
